ÁbacoClub March 2020 – Activities Calendar
ÁbacoClub Magazine March 2020
We were eager to finish it and we already have it here for you to enjoy! Our main interest is that ÁbacoClub Magazine serves as motivation to enjoy our beloved Spain even more. In it you will find a brief summary of all the activities we have been doing and a lot of articles dedicated entirely to you: Rural wonders, hotels with charm, wineries, popular festivals, regional cuisine, wonderful spas, golf courses, local markets …
We’d like to remind you that the printed edition will be in our offices as soon as the Coronavirus crisis is over.
Kind regards to all in these hard times in the fight against the Coronavirus. We hope you have a pleasant time reading ÁbacoClub Magazine and it makes your wait more enjoyable.

ÁbacoClub Activities… Now Online!
Hello, our activities at the AbacoClub are going to be a little different for now, of course, but we will do our best to keep the motivation going while we are in confinement. Let’s take these workshops as social get togethers only instead of at the different cafes and restaurants we normally go to, at my place…and yours, of course ;- ).
For this, on the day and time that we have scheduled the activity, we will publish a video on YouTube on the ÁbacoClub channel and on all of our social networks. We will interact in real time with all of you with the comments that you send us through Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, WhatsApp (Sofia, 0034 638 377 565) or the YouTube Chat. We invite you to follow us through your favorite social network 😉
These are the online activities that we have scheduled for the coming weeks:
Thursday, March 26th
Spanish Conversation Workshop & Breakfast – 12:00
At Sofia’s Place in YouTube
Wednesday, April 1st
Stretching and Mobility – 12:00
At Sofia’s Place in YouTube
Wednesday, April 8th
Show cooking – 12:00
At Sofia’s Place in YouTube
I suggest you think of your favourite place in your home where you will be confortable, whether it’s your kitchen o living room, or even your terrace and get yourself a tea, a glass of wine or whatever you prefer and get ready to interact with us.
See you at the ÁbacoClub… Online!
Spanish Conversation Workshop, Thursday, March 26th at 12.00 in YouTube
I am keeping the same structure of our conversation workshops since I know they are very efficient and are more fun than the traditional grammar classes. Have in mind, they aren’t literal translations as such. I have written questions and answers most commonly used in day to day use when speaking Spanish. What is important is to listen and try to understand but also to speak to make yourself understood, of course. 😉
From experience, I know that speaking is the harder part of a language but in these workshops that’s what it’s all about. Losing your shyness and the fear of making mistakes and practicing in a group where you all have the same fear makes it a little bit easier.
So… get your cheat sheets and join us!
Stretching and Mobility Workshop, Wednesday, April 1st at 12.00 in YouTube
Stretching and Mobility Workshop, Wednesday, April 1st at 12.00 in YouTube
I hope you are all taking a little time to take care of yourselves. I know many are taking advantage of this confinement and are cleaning out closets, reorganizing your refrigerator…or maybe you are being more aware of your health and eating a little healthier, giving yourself a facial or doing a little bit of exercise. There’s time for everything so let’s remember “MORE MOVEMENT=MORE MOBILITY”.
In this week’s workshop we will breathe, stretch and make our bodies move with very gente, slow movements.
Be sure to wear comfortable clothing. Have your yoga mat nearby, a broomstick, two cans (240gr +-) and a pillow.
Oh, and don’t forget your water 😉
Show Cooking Workshop, Wednesday, April 8th at 12.00 in YouTube
Many of us have something in common. Cooking! Like many of you, I love to cook. I hope you will join me in my kitchen where I will do my best to make something delicious, maybe even something you don’t know how to make yet 😉
I suggest you have a notebook and pen ready where you can take notes (although I will mail you the complete récipe) and a glass of wine and some cheese perhaps 😉
I hope to see you!
