Welcome to ÁbacoClub 2026
Welcome to ÁbacoClub 2026 as we look forward to another year of finding new places and meeting new people. We thoroughly enjoyed sharing 2025 with you. Our visits included the beautiful Valle de Ricota and Cieza with its blossoming fruit trees, trying out a few dance steps in a Sevillanas workshop and visiting the Universo Ferris and Rafa Bernabé vineyard. We enjoyed brunch at La Taberna Törnberg and visited the Bodega Santa Catalina del Mañan. Our last visit of the year took us to one of our favourites, Lolyta Food & Coffee, where we exchanged our Secret Santa gifts.
For 2026 we have lots of ideas for where we would like to take you next. It is always exciting to plan the year ahead and, as always, I am more than happy to gather your recommendations and suggestions. If you do have a request for a particular activity or location then please contact me at sofia@abacoclub.es.
ÁbacoClub was created to provide something extra and different for our clients. We wanted to go above and beyond by taking you to new places, introducing you to Spanish culture and bringing people together to make friends and enjoy Spain even more. We love getting to know you and are delighted with the response that we have following our events. Thank you!
Just to make sure that everything runs smoothly in 2026, we have some small requests for those of you who are keen to join in. Our ÁbacoClub newsletters are an important way of finding out what’s planned. However, we have become aware that not everyone is receiving them as they should. If you are signed up to the AbacoClub and aren’t receiving its newsletter, please check:
• Have you ticked the confidentiality box?
• Have you checked your spam?
If you’ve answered ‘yes’ then please contact our office so that we can help you. We don’t want you to miss out on opportunities just because the newsletter hasn’t landed in your inbox!
We are delighted that our trips are so popular but please help us make sure that everyone gets a chance to take part. There is limited capacity at the events we plan and although we would love to cater for you all, it isn’t possible for us to do that. Because of this please remember that our trips are for two family members and are intended for adults only.
Occasionally, we understand that unforeseen events can take over and mean that plans must be changed. If you are booked in with us for one of our trips and then are unable to attend, do please let us know so someone from our waiting list can take your place. We are always oversubscribed for our trips and it is such a pity if there is a space that’s not filled when it comes to the day.
We take great care in sourcing places to visit and try to make them as accessible as possible both in terms of venue and language. English is used as our language of communication because it is the one that most people speak who attend our events. We do try to be as inclusive as possible and embrace all the languages that our clients bring to us as far as we are able.
Please be patient with us if your ideal location isn’t always available – we have clients in many parts of Spain! The majority of our events do take place around Torrevieja and Orihuela Costa, because that is where our office and most of our contacts are based. However, we are always open to ideas!
There are some locations that are more of an annual event and take up most of the day. We know how popular these are and for very good reason. We ask that when a particularly popular trip is repeated, it can be enjoyed by those who haven’t had chance to go before. Even though we love to see our most loyal members as often as possible! So, here’s to a new year and lots of new possibilities. We can’t wait to see you all again. As we are busily preparing our calendar for 2026, we thank you for helping us make our ÁbacoClub full of fun and memorable experiences!
